Poem

Conjugating

If energy is matter
can I call it to me?
A little attention is
what matters, see--

The phone rings
the same
whether it's a cold call
or if it's

She,

who dances on the edge
of my dreams

Stuck in the

present, tense

looking into the night's
murky sea
this moment my cage
from which I want
to be freed

Future, perfect--

my mind spins
propelled by what
might be

S, I love the quiet, surprised, down-to-earth way that you write. The cycling...you turn it into something else. Or rather, you open it up and show it for what it is. There is real beauty in your gentle words. So glad to have caught up to you on life's course again, even if I still don't know what 'to lap someone' means in the cycling world. (I'm thinking it doesn't involve dances or poles or dollar bills?)

It's haiku time again in creative writing class

Coffee is bitter fuel that brings a sweetness, lifting my spirits. Empty hanging file folders, holding only the hope of less clut...
